Does the WebSphere MQ for AIX, Version 5.3 come bundled with Websphere MQ workflow version 3.5?
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/wmqwf/requirements/
I am a little confused with
Quote: |
COMMUNICATION: IBM WebSphere MQ for AIX, Version 5.3.1 with CSD04 (included)
|
Does this mean
1)MQ 5.3.1 in included with WF3.5?
2)MQ 5.3.1 includes CSD04, but MQ5.3.1 is NOT bundled with WF3.5
Thanks

I think you missed this information on that link

Below is the list of software and hardware required for IBM WebSphere® MQ Workflow Servers and Client.
|
Operating System is also listed. It doesn't mean that it comes with the OS as well.
Enjoy |

like any other software that is known to mankind...WF too does not come with the OS....
my question was since DB2 comes with WF, does MQ too come with WF?I should have been more clear |

It is my opinion that you have a limited license for DB2 and MQ Series with MQWF, if that is what you are asking. When you get the product you get DB2 and MQ Series bundled with it. _________________ John McDonald

DB2 and MQ are supplied with Workflow.
But the licensing I think is if they are used for just workflow purposes, then yhere is no extra fee involved. For example, you can install DB2 and have the WF runtime DB, but if you create an application DB then you have to pay. Similary, you can create workflow QMGR, but if you create an extra QMGR that is not used by workflow then you have to pay.

That was harsh.
Your question is still not clear.
What do you mean

The base code that can be downloaded is refreshed sometimes. That means, if you download MQ5.3 then it will be MQ 5.3 CSD04 (that's the refreshed code).
Is that what you meant? |

Vennela is even more harsh and downright rude a lot of times. Just cant see something like this from him. May be now that he has a daughter he is mellowed down a bit |
