The forum performance is continuing to degrade. Can anything be done to improve response time? It is approaching the Human-Computer Interface cut-off for attention keeping. |

Is the performance degrading in terms of people or software? I'd say the slow traffic in the forums bothers me more than the slow page downloads. Maybe it's August...

I haven't noticed too much downgrade in response time as of late. It still seems to be running pretty fast, but then again I'm usually accessing it from a LAN, or when I'm external, over a T1. Fortunately, I do have some good news... The internet connection for the server hosting this site is about to get a major upgrade, effectively given me about 2 megabit upstream. Compare this to what I have now, which is about 128 kilobit upstream.... I also recently dropped a processor upgrade into the server... But I think you'll see a huge difference when the new line gets put in (in about 2 weeks)...
