Hello All,
I'm working on a High Availability WBIMB configuration where the Broker is running in a seperate AIX LPAR from my Oracle Broker database. Will the Broker reconnect to the Broker DB if the connection is lost (either because of connectivity issues are DB failure and failover) ? Any Assistance is appreciated !
I have read somewhere that it is a good practice to restart the broker incase of db failures.
I do not know if it can connect automatically. _________________ Nyzam

If your connection is lost and you are running v5 of the broker and your are talking about "Broker" databases the connection will automatically recover. If you are running version 2.1, no it won't. If you are talking about user dataabases then no it won't do it automatically. But if you properly error handle your database calls in ESQL then you can just recall your SQL statement and if the connection can be reestablished, it will run. If the database is still not available (IE the cable isn't back connected to the machine) then it will fail again. If you can avoid having your database server and broker on seperate machines then that really does help stablity. _________________ Patrick Goodhart
