Hello,

We are setting up MQ Cluster in our environment here .I have couple of quick questions.

1) While creating the queue manager , Should I be using the default logging method or Linear logging method using “crtmqm -ll -q QM_NAME” .What is the recommended way ?

2) Also I would like to know What is the Best Practices for taking the MQ Series Backup in Prod environment.? would it be using rcdmqimg. If So ,Can you point me to the Link for taking the Backup and restore using rcdmqimg./ rcrmqobj commands

Thanks in advance.

This sounds like a great job! Do you provide visas if necessary? How much are you willing to pay?

Or, you may be better off posting the MQSeries Installation/support forum

BTW Only use linear logging if you need it. Read the Sys admin guide and then I believe there is a Red Book on the IBM web site that covers this subject. You can read the Sys Admin Guide in this forum, or you can get it from the IBM web site.

Just moving it out of the Jobs forum, I know it is a duplicate and thought of deleting it, but... there was value in dgoldings reply.
So chose not to delete and move it.
