Hi Everybody,

I have a few queries about Clients...

1. There are several client applications that connect to our MQ server. I have noticed that the message count on the server connection channel increases continously even when the messages are not coming in I have verified that the server is not receiving any messages but the message count some times goes to huge proportions. Does this usually happen when the client does not close the connection?

2. The default channel limit is 100. Does this include sender +receiver channel +server connection+...

3. What would be the active channel limit?

4. The client application can open several connections using one server connection channel. Does the active channel count include all these connections?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Quick answers to your questions:

1) Do you have a J2EE app running in a web server like WebSphere or WebLogic. I have seen this in WebLogic when a JMS message filter was used and either 'Get Exactly One' was set (or not set, I can't remember). Basically, it polls every message in the queue every second over & over again.

2) Yes.

3) Both and Yes.

4) Yes.

Regards,
Roger Lacroix
