I have a strange problem. I want to change my settings for my esql editor so that I can generate 2.1 code for deployment to a 2.1 broker.
I read this thread http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20961 and it identifies where to change it, but I can't find it.
I'm running the Configuration Manager on a Windows 2000 box. I had a 2.1 Config Manager running there, then did the upgrade/migration to v5.0 and applied CSD 04. I'm able to run the toolkit, migrate message flows and message sets, I can create new flows, deploy flows and everything.
But I am having an issue with a database node, so I wanted to make sure that I was generating code for a v2.1 broker. But, I go to the Broker Application Development perspective, then click on Window and then Preferences. I expand ESQL and Mapping, and all I see is ESQL Editor and Validation. There is no option for Code Generation.
Anyone else have this problem? Is there anywhere else I can change the code generation to be compatible with a v2.1 broker?
Scott

Scott,
I have v5 with csd04 with all updates to toolkit.
I can see the 'Code Generation' option when I expanded the 'ESQL and Mapping' tree. _________________ Nyzam

That is so strange that I don't have it.
Maybe I'll look at re-doing my install and see if there was anything I missed that might have caused it.
Thanks |

Okay, I uninstalled my WBIMB installation.
I re-installed WBIMB v5.0 from CD. The only warnings I got was that my Controller Agent was not at the right level - my level was actually higher. And my Windows 2000 was not at SP3. It is actually at SP4.
Then I ran the U200220 executable to install the CSD04.
Then, when I run the toolkit, and I click on Windows, Preferences, and expand the ESQL and Mapping, I only see ESQL Editor and Validation. Nothing about Code Generation.
Has anyone else had this? Or have I installed it incorrectly or something?

You may not have managed to complete the install of FP04 in the Toolkit.
Please review the FP04 readme for instructions regarding this. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I had gone throught the readme before and didn't find anything odd. But this time, I discovered it was defect 34930 as it relates to the presence of the .metadata folder and the About box not showing the 5.0.4 correctly as the version of the Message Brokers Toolkit.
Once I deleted the .metadata folder and re-opened the toolkit, the about box showed the correct version number and I now have Code Generation under my ESQL & Mapping preferences.
Thanks Jeff!
