When a requester-server channel is up and running, if we restart a queue manager of server channel, will requester-server channel come back to running state ?
Requester channel is on os/390 and server channel on win2k. Requester-Server channel is not fully qualified. we are seeing that server channel going to inactive state once QManager is restarted. Is this normal ? Server channel can't initiate the communication because it is not fully qualified. What are the options to make the channel running when QManager is restarted ?

Hi,
Try changing the server channel to a Sender channel, in this case you can
put a start Channel into SYSIN to the CHIN-TASK, and you should be flying.
I'm telling our custers to do it in that way, to ensure channels are started, another parameter to consider is TRIGGER INTERVAL, by IBM it's set to 999999.. no a extra trigger event is never generated to start a channel again (You remember triger first on the xmit channel...)
I hope it might help you a bit.
