I want to be able to see the queue statistics for publish/subscribe, wanted to see how many messages are posted on the topic till now for durable subscribers, is there anyway to do that? also I'm using MQJExplorer and I'm not able to see the dynamic queues generated by mq for durable subscriptions, is there some other tool that allows me to do that? please advice

If you want to keep track of how many messages were published to a particular topic, then change your publisher to log how many messages it publishes.

If you can't see temporary dynamic queues in some tool or another, you either haven't told the tool to display temporary dynamic queues, or the tool doesn't have the capacity to display temporary dynamic queues. In either case, the first place to look is in the documentation for that tool.

And yes, there are many tools that will produce lists of queues on a queue manager, including temporary dynamic queues.

we were using weblogic before and in the console I was able to see the number of messages that were received on the topic and the number remaining to be dequeued and I was wondering whether MQ had any facility like that which would enable me to do something similar, basically queue statistics is what I'm interested in.
