I am wondering what the MQ world is doing about default transmission queues. My own feeling is that you shouldn't really need to specify one, but I am willing to be persuaded.
What is the feeling out there?
Are they a good thing or a bad thing. Worth doing or worth avoiding?

Just back from a conference...
IBM would recommend you avoid default transmission queues from a security perspective.
Otherwise if you run a dead letter handler you run the risk of forwarding an unauthorized message. _________________ Patrick Goodhart

A dead letter handler could just as easily forward an unauthorized message into any XMITQ, default or not. _________________ Peter Potkay
