We downloaded the IA07 Sendmail PlugIn support pack.
The contetnt of the SupportPacs.zip (a directory called "SupportPacs") was copied into the <WBIMB-root>/eclipse/plugins subdirectori.
The SendMailPlugIn.lil file from the nt subdirectory was copied into the <WBIMB-root>/bin.
Our platform is Windows 2000 Server with SP4.
A test flow (MQInput->trace->Sendmail) was created and deployed. For this flow the User Trace was set to Debug mode.
We put a test message into the input queue, but target IIS server did not put any email-file into its specific directory, and the user trace did not contain any enrty about the processing of the message by the sendmail plugin node. (It contains entries about receiving message by the input node, making a trace file by the trace node, ect.)
In the service pack nt subdirectory there is a debug subdirectory which contains an another SendMailPlugIn.lil file (bigger than its brother in the nt subdirectory). The lil file was overwriten by this bigger lil file in the <WBIMB-root>/bin.
We initiated a new deploy. This second deploy was dead. The broker's execution group did not respond. After it we could not be able to deploy anything to this broker.
I tried to initiate a Cancel Deployment command, but it was unsuccessful too.
I tried to stop broker service, but it halted in a stopping status.
After a system restart we could deploy nothing to our broker.
This "debud" lil file killed our broker totally.
Did anybody use this support pack successfully?
Bye

Check the LIL file are you copied. the one in the nt folder is the correct one to be copied. try this. |

In my long story I said we applied the LIL file in the nt directory at first. In this case the debug user trace contained nothing about the processing by the plugin node.
After it we tried to use the LIL, in the debug subdirectory, but it was a VERY BAD IDEA.
With the non-debug lil, the broker's debug user trace was the following:
Code: |
2005-03-02 10:19:48.304481 3908 UserTrace BIP4124I: Message propagated to 'out' terminal of compute node 'mail_proba_flow.Compute'.
2005-03-02 10:19:48.304538 3908 UserTrace BIP4160I: Message propagated to match terminal by check node 'mail_proba_flow.FlowOrder'.
The check node 'mail_proba_flow.FlowOrder' has matched a received message against the criteria and is propagating it to any nodes connected to its match terminal.
No user action required.
2005-03-02 10:19:48.304645 3908 UserTrace BIP2538I: Node 'mail_proba_flow.Trace': Evaluating expression 'Environment' at (, 3.3).
2005-03-02 10:19:48.304748 3908 UserTrace BIP2538I: Node 'mail_proba_flow.Trace': Evaluating expression 'LocalEnvironment' at (, 6.3).

2005-03-02 10:19:48.329212 3908 UserTrace BIP4067I: Message propagated to output terminal for trace node 'mail_proba_flow.Trace'.
The trace node 'mail_proba_flow.Trace' has received a message and is propagating it to any nodes connected to its output terminal.
No user action required.
2005-03-02 10:19:48.329273 3908 UserTrace BIP4160I: Message propagated to match terminal by check node 'mail_proba_flow.FlowOrder'.

2005-03-02 10:19:48.395900 3908 UserTrace BIP2538I: Node 'mail_proba_flow.Trace2': Evaluating expression 'Environment' at (, 3.3). |
The sendmail plugin's input was connected to the second output of the floworder node, and the Trace2 node was connected to the failure output to the sendmail node.
In this trace there is a big nothing about the sendmail plugin node.
