HBINT has nothing to do with AdoptNewMCA.
The description of the timing of when the RCVR channel is taken over is in the System Admin manual; the only timer is AdoptNewMCATimeout.

Just out of interest, why do i spawn more channels with AdoptNewMCA when I have a lower HBINT interval if they are not related. _________________ Keith Guttridge

When pulling the plug there is no way your local Qmgr can know that the remote failed. So it will have to wait for activity on the channel: HBINT(300). You might want to experiment with that value. Also check with your network dept. if keep-alive options are set correctly.
