Hi everyone,
I have a bit of a strange problem. When I issue the mqsilist command a number of brokers are returned even though they don't exist.
This is because (I think) during the migration from 2.1 to V 5 I (stupidly) uninstalled DB2 before deleting the brokers.
I tried using the mqsideletebroker command but this returned a DB exception obviously enough because the DB does not exist.
I then removed the entries from the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MQSeriesBrokerXXX), but the entries still come back on mqsilist.
This is not causing any problems but i would still like to tidy this up. Does anyone have any idea where mqsilist is getting these entries from??
Thanks

Though this is not recommended, what you can do is manually remove from the config mgr database all references to the "broker".....
There are quite few tables where you will need to do this....cbroker,cbrokerceg table (dont remember all of them)....
Hope this would help |

Hi,
Try removing the Broker, config manager entries from :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\wmqi.
Not sure if removing them from the registry entry you had specified would remove this entry also.

Thanks everybody for your replies,
Hari,
The broker entries are a reference to the V2.1 brokers which existed before i upgraded to V5. As part of the upgrade i removed the ConfigMgr DB and Broker DB, so there would be no references of these in the DB.
I eventually found the entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\... as protocol suggested.
Thanks
