The IBM site gives the bare minimums, but I'd like to know what you really need to run so that you can develop without long "Javaw freezes".
Our developers have Win2K Pro machines, with a single 1.6 Ghz processor and 512 Mb memory. We've found that increasing the memory to 1 Gb or 1.5 Gb dramatically improves workability with the toolkit. Is that the best, or only, place to spend upgrade money?
Keeping in mind these developers will be running several other applications with toolkit, does anyone have any (Windows based) recommendations for our next generation of desktop hardware?
Thanks in advance! _________________ Cheers,

Hi,
Don't know about the only way, but it sure is effective. I'm runing on a laptop with 1,6 Ghz, 2 Gb, and I seldom experience any problems.

It'd be good to have CPU speed greater than 2 GHz & 1 GB RAM. _________________ Kiran
