Long awaited free enterprise strength MQ monitoring solution is finally here.
Netflexity, an IT products and services company from Philadelphia, PA, announced that it will release its version of Qflex at no cost.
Qflex sports an impressive array of features.
It is 100% J2EE compliant web application with comprehensive MQ monitoring and performance tracking capabilities.
Web based message browser is a bonus feature.

With the number of times Brandon posted the news I hope he is getting some $$ or at least any subdivision thereof per download on the website.
I am not clear is this a beta version to be tested/distributed free before commercial launch ?

This product sounds very good from reading the website...which begs the question...why is it free?

what about a NetFlexity forum? Last time I was in contact with Brandon it was not that expensive

yeah duplicate posts and additional Announcements
From the website I see they only plan to make money from services, not from licenses, interesting business model.

I downloaded the .war file and unzipped it.
Lots of stuff but no readme's or instructions of any kind.

The instructions for downloading and installing the product are right on the downloads page. Manuals are visual and very easy to follow. When watchting the manuals use the pause button to keep up.
Install tomcat, install mysql, run ddl script, configure tomcat jndi, drop QFLEX.war into you webapps directory and that's it. There is no need to unzip QFLEX.war file but you should NOT let windows or winzip save it as QFLEX.war.zip. If that happened, just rename the file into QFLEX.war.

Dedicated forum is actually kinda pricy. You can post any questions regarding Qflex under Monitoring Tools Forum. I will be keeping my eye on it. |

You guys are too mercantile. Our business model, however, does rely on sales of licences for products that are still in the works. I assure you that by the end of this year you will see Netflexity release many more very exciting solutions. Please use the product if you think it might address some of your needs. We are very open to any feedback positive or negative, functionality requirements no matter how big or small and of course bug reports.

Hi. We have not considered supporting Informix so far. Provided there are plenty of good quality JDBC drivers, I dont see why not. We will be able to tell for sure when and if Informix will be supported at the end of Q2.
