Does anybody know how to model a second notifications that needs to go to the manager of a manager.

Example. A consultant needs to take control of a workitem in 1 hour. He fails to do this and his manager (Team Leader) gets a first notification. After another 1 hour a second notification needs to be sent to the consultants Teamleaders manager. How will one model the second notification?

The only way to do this would be for that person to be the Process Administrator. Second Notifications always go to the Process Administrator. SO, since there is an API that allows you to set the Process Administrator ProcessInstance.setProcessAdministrator() you may be able to accomplish what you want by setting the appropriate user as the PA prior to the activity commencing.... However, this will mean that user has ALL of the functions of the PA from that point on. Note: I have never tried this, but in theory it should work.
