Dear All,
I'm new here, and I have started my MQ project on platforms AS400 & Window NT. It's no problem for sending english string of both side with turning on 'Conversion' option of MQ Channels.
But it got problem when I tried to send DBCS character from Windown NT to AS400, and vice versa.
I used code page 950 for sending UTF message from Win NT to AS400, I saw the message with code page 937 in AS400 local queue and converted to strange symbol. Then I get the message in AS400 (it's not readable) and put back to NT, I got the message with DBCS (same as I put to AS400) in NT.
Is that means I used a wrong code page for conversion? Or I need to create my own user exit conversion? Please help. |

Hi
1) You've posted in the wrong forum. Perhaps the Moderator could make this a World non-postable forum?
2) You shouldn't do message conversion on a channel. Change the Get Message Options (GMO structure) to enable conversion when GETting the message. This only works if the format of the message (when creating in a PUT) was MQSTR.

Or you write a Conversion Exit, naming it the same as the "user" value you use for Format.
