It looks like our biphttplistener is not listening to the port we believe. We thought that broker BKSC1Q001 ( for example ) is listening to port 26001. Obviously it is not according to the netstat output.

What command can we run to display a biphttplistener properties ?

Can someone add some insight on what we've overlooked.

Thanks,
Mike

Have you deployed an HTTP* node to the broker?

Yes I have. Created the flow following the example out of the "Using Web Services for Business Integration" starting at page 235. It deploys to my execution group and is out there running. I have a trace node after the HTTPListener node to see the traffic come in, but with no results.

Try hitting it from a browser at the url and port number you think it's working on.

It should return an error saying that it won't accept a GET request.

But the biphttplistenerport is a property of the broker, and should either be in your Registry if you're on Windows (which it doesn't look like you are) or in your /var/mqsi/registry on Unix.

I tried yesterday to hit it from the browser and I get "The page cannot be displayed"

The trace file after the HTTPListener is not getting populated as well. We thought yesterday we had a port number conflict with WSAD on AIX ( we were not getting anything through then as well), so we changed to 26000, 26001, and 26002 for our brokers. I was not aware of the "registry" directory below to see what the brokers are actually listening to, THANKS), but we still are not getting anything.

Should I be able to do a netstat on 26000 and get a hit, without any flow being deployed, even though I do.

Maybe it is my flow, but I can not see any errors.

Thanks,
Mike

Not without any flow deployed. It only opens the port for listening when a flow with an HTTPInput node in it is deployed.

What is an "HTTPListener node"?

I found this after I just recycled the brokers:

Are there any other error messages?

Are you running FP4?

Is this a default broker install with fixpack, or have you installed any Java nodes and classes of your own?

We do have some Java plugins we have installed along with some we found on the IBM website ( LDAP, MAIL, MGET).

If you have replaced any of the XML jars (xerces etc) with versions of your own, that could be a cause of these types of errors.

I had a similar problem, now the problem was solved

When i went through logs, I found i was getting some saxon & xerces parsing errors in the Event Log.
I had placed my own saxon & xerces jars in the CLASSPATH and also had TomCat 5.0 installed separately.

I removed the aboves jars from the CLASSPATH and unistalled Tomcat too. Now i restarted the broker. Now Event Log says "HttpListener was started successfully on port 7070"

I think the problem was with the incompatiable jars in the CLASSPATH.
