You should be using MDBs with WAS 5.1 rather than MessageListeners.

The code what we are using is working fine in WAS 4.0.5.We are doing some publishing and subscriber mechanism.But when we are using the same code in WAS5.1 it is throwing an IllegalMethod.setMessageListener is not permitted.

Can you post the offending listnener class and how you are connecting and setting it ?
BTW if your subscriptions are durable ones you really should be using an MDB.
