I think i know that this is somehow related to odbc.ini setup. Can someone please paste a current working odbc.ini for a setup similar to this.

WBIMB v5 on AIX with MQ server and DB2Client installed.

DB2Server on a different AIX box.

Are you sure your error is a BIP8050E? When does the error occur? That particular error is not related to the .odbc.ini configuration. It results from a failure while creating a queue manager, on behalf of the mqsicreatebroker command.

However, for your information, a sample .odbc.ini file is provided in the directory: <install_dir>/wmqi/merant/.
