Ive checked quite a few posts and can see a lot of the answers refer to which MQ & CSD level is being used.. most answers refer to 5.1 or 5.2
I have 5.3 with CSD5

Can anyone think of what could cause, what looks to be a DSPMQ command, to create and error & fdc. This has happened before but not for sometime .. seems quite random.

Any ideas would be appreciated
Cheers
Phil

Well 6118 and 6184 are telling you that got and unexpected return code and an FFST was created.

Looks like the culprit is your dspmq script:
Code:

UserID :- 00000501 (mqm)
Program Name :- dspmq

What happens when you run dspmq as the mqm user? Does it display the status of the MQManager or error out?

If so check the permissions on the link in the /usr/bin directory and the file in /usr/mqm/bin.

Hi
A normal dspmq run as mqm is fine .. which would also indicate the permissions etc are ok on the /usr/bin & mqm dirs.
Im wondering if the Minor Errorcode :- xecL_W_TIMEOUT is more of an issue .. maybe a memory prob perhaps

Cheers
Phil

Things that make you go Hmmm....

To be honest I have never seen an instance in which dspmq will generate an FFST but then I skipped CSD05 going from 04 to 06. I didn't find anything on the IBM Support Search or Google on this either.

If I were you and I had the time. I'd call IBM and open a ticket with them just to see what they come up with. Force them to escalate all the way to Hersley if you aren't satified with their answer.

I have noticed in the past that some of the "Well Know Problems" that they create APAR's for aren't always searchable. As in IBM know about them but you can never find them on the web.

On a lark I decided to search IBM Support to dspmq and found one other instance in which dspmq created an FFST but it was on a Linux Server WMQ5.3.0.7 the same was happening when they ran crtmqm and strmqm. They were also getting different Probe ID's and Component ID's.

Good luck
