What is the @MANGLED directory under Windows used for?

It looks to me like a perfectly valid remote queue definition but I don't understand why it is in there and not in its own directory (like all the others).

I know I don't have a problem with the remote queue...so why is it there and not in its own directory?

Just curious.

Hi, from system admin guide, about directory "Queues"

"Each queue has a directory here containing a single file called Q. Where
possible, the directory name matches the associated queue name but some characters have to be altered. There might be a directory called
@MANGLED here containing queues with transformed or mangled
names."

When it is used... I don't now, hope it helps

Regards

It's used when people put things like forward or backward slashes in queue names, and etc. Basically, when the names of queue objects can't be properly represented as OS level file names.
