In planning stage of the project at present. As yet have not found anything in the IBM manuals / redbooks or on web to worry about but one of my senior mgrs had heard that it was a painful upgrade - no details unfortunately.

We are a Solaris shop with a splattering of NEON, some messagesets, some TDS/XML and fairly straightforward esql on the whole.

Obviously we are going to migrate messagesets and flows into wb toolkit asap and we will thoroughly test our flows but before we start it would be nice to know what to look out for, so we can change in advance etc or better still to be able to allay my boss's fears from the outset.

Any experiences you have to share would be most kind.

We have gone through the process. It is not as painful as people say. A few things to watch for are:
1. Esql - the cast function does not behave the same when casting to a decimal.
2. The code assist on the workbench does not work when you import the converted workflows into the workbench. If you cut and past it back to the screen it will work.
3. You will see alot of errors around Input.Root when you import flows. If you rebuild the project these errors may or may not go away. If you exit the workbench and restart then rebuild the project they will go away.

Good Luck

Also, watch for your Float/Decimal fields in MRM message set after the import. There have been some discussions around this topic in this forum. Please do a search in this forum to find relevant posts.
