Hello there,
I have the following problem connecting to the Config manager of a Broker (5.0) running CSD3 on Win2000.
The client machine (win2000) is set up with Control Center for MQSI 2.1 and WSAD 5.1 with Broker extension (5.1).
The Control Center is working fine, whereas the Toolkit reports the following errormessage when trying to connect:
"Topic Root information was not received from the Configuration Manager. Either the Configuration Manager is not available or the user ux@ad does not have authority to view the object. (UUID='TopicRoot' required attribute='topicroot.defaultpolicy'"
The user ux is set up as a local user on the server, exactly as 3 other users that are working fine.
I also tried to restart the config manager but that didn´t help.
The server reports the following:
"( ConfigMgr ) Unknown user encountered within the Configuration Manager.
An unknown user exception was caught by the Configuration Manager RoleManager class when calling the UGRegistry class. The user has not been given access to the resource. "
"( ConfigMgr ) Error in call LookupAccountSid() to the NT security domain with return code 87.
A component of WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers is attempting to call the NT security domain. The security subsystem returned an error code. "
"Unable to obtain account details for channel MCA user ID.
WebSphere MQ was unable to obtain the account details for MCA user ID 'UX@AD'. This user ID was the MCA user ID for channel 'SYSTEM.BKR.CONFIG' on queue manager 'RAAI01' and may have been defined in the channel definition, or supplied either by a channel exit or by a client. "
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,

Can you explain the command you used to create V5 config mgr.
What is your current logged-on user-id and V5 host name? _________________ Kiran

Hello kiran,
Config Mgr was installed without Domain Connection and installed with the local security domain.
Other Domain users work without problems, only with local definition of the users.
The Broker hostname varies, but we assume the hostname "neoplan".
The hostname of the config Mgr server is "mqsientw".
The new user "'UX@AD" is also defined locally as "UX".
Current users are for example "UB@AD" (also defined locally as "UB").
UX is in the same groups (mqm, mqbrops, mqbrpic, mqbrkrs, mqbrdevt, mqbrasgn) as UB.
regards,
Martin |
