I'm migrating to V5.0. In V2.1, I had Message Flow Categories set up. I'm trying to reproduce the same on V5.0. I have done so(or think I have), by creating a Message Flow Project, and adding Folders under that. That seems to work. My problem, is when I try to use mqsimigratemsgflow, I can only use the -p option to get me to the project. I would like to be able to migrate directly into the Folder. Any ideas? |

Just use different projects for your categories, instead of folders under your project.
Also, you might read up on broker schemas and namespaces. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Perhaps I should hav mentioned, that it is a shared configuration Manager with multiple groups. The Highlevel Message Flow Project was meant to identify seperation between development groups |

Again, read up on broker schemas. They're like Java packages.
I doubt there is a way to tell the migration tool to import into some folder or another, without using schemas.
I'm not sure that you can do it even if you DO use schemas.
But schemas is definately the right thing for your situation, in my opinion. It will give runtime separation of your development groups and namespaces, as opposed to the previous Message Flow Categories, which were just design time differences. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Have you tried moving your migrated message flows to different folders?
What would you achieve by doing this? Does it rally matter for you how the message flows are stored in your file system?
You mentioned that you are sharing your config mgr with another group, how does that affect your message flow storage? In V5 your message flows are stored in your file system, so others don't have visibility to it (unless you use Team feature). _________________ Kiran
