Hi,
Can anyone shed some light on what are the likely causes of Message sequence errors?
We're getting frequent occurences (1 or 2 a month) of this error from our mainframe system to a variety of other systems and we need to try and establish what's causing this to happen.

If you are talking about message sequenc errors on channels it can be caused by network issues or anything that causes a disruption in channel communication.
It should be very easy to resolve though through monitoring tools and execution of scripts. Monitor channels for a non-RUNNING state. You may ned to correlate processes accross platforms.
If a channel is not running then invoke your script that tries to start it. If the stop fails then try a resolve followed by a reset.
Of course it would be nice if it didn't happen in the first place.
