I have some bad past experiences with DB2 upgrades and and fix packs. I was just wondering if I am blazing a new path by installing this fix pack. If anyone has installed this fix pack, please let me know if you ran into any problems.

Thanks

You might want to check this out

If you want to use DB2 8.2 then you should have SP3 for workflow 3.5.

Folks,

Just a heads up on this issue. We installed FP7a and everything seemed to be fine. Then I attempted to start workflow and BAM.. That dreaded -998 error started to show up in the logs.

We found that Websphere MQ had an old link referenced in the /usr/mqm/lib directory. The link was still pointing at the SP5 directory.

This is the command we had to run in order to get Workflow up and running again.

ln -s -f /usr/opt/db2_08_FP7/lib/libdb2.a /usr/mqm/lib/libdb2.a

How do we achieve this on Windows?
Copy the DLL ?
I have seen this problem on Win 2K

Found this out myself.
From readme of SP3
Quote:

2.2.1.2 XA-Coordination problems on Windows 2000
If using DB2 8.1 FP7a or DB2 8.2 on Windows 2000, you may encounter problems
when starting the MQ Workflow administration server. If you receive an
SQL 998 Reasoncode 9, but no subcode, then there might be a permission
problem between DB2 and WebSphere MQ. To fix this, you must make the WebSphere
MQ administration user ID MUSR_MQADMIN a member of the DB2 admin group
or, if that group does not exist, make the user ID a member of the
Administrators group.
