| Does MQSI support DB2 7.2 |

Hi,
I installed MQSI 2.0.2 on a Solaris box that has DB2 7.2 fixpack 2, will this work? I think in the installation manual it said DB2 7.1 fixpack 3, and I know that's the same thing as 7.2. Is there a fix (for MQSI or DB2) that I can use to make this work? Thanks.

MQSI 2.1 supports db2 7.2 where as MQSI 2.0.2 supports DB2 7.1

As per IBM website,
"There are known problems with MQSI & DB2 V7.1 FixPack 2a and 3 on SUN Solaris. There is a valid workaround documented which is supported & tested by the MQSI organisation. Contact your local support team for details."

MQSI 2.02 did not work with UDB 7.1 with ANY fixpacks the last time I tried it about 6 months ago. The Merant ODBC driver cored (giant core). IBM Support referred me to the web page descibed above. They said NO fixpacks should be applied to UDB 7.1 for MQSI 2.02. At the time, I got around this by using DB2/Connect 7.1 with no fixpacks to connect to UDB 7.1 fixpack 3 (aka UDB 7.2)on the "other" node that was designated as the "DB2 Node" (we spilt DB2 from MQSI, Websphere, MQWorkFlow so as to maximize scalability).
I have not tried WMQI 2.1 yet. |
