On a -f makefile.solaris the linker is coming back complaining it cannot find the lib mqic. I do not find this lib on my system. I changed it to mqi as the clients manual indicates but that is not found on the system either. Am I missing something. I am using the makfile right out of the MS03 supportpack.

Could it be a confusion between client and server libraries. I believe the c at the end means that it is looking for a client library....

You don't need saveqmgrc.solaris unless you intend to run the utility from a client workstation. If you still want to build this component, you will need to install the mq client bundle. This will give you libmqic. If you do not need this component, just comment it out from the makefile and build only saveqmgr.solaris which is the one to run on the server.

I had a "supposedly" identical system in QA. That box had the mqic lib file on it. I moved the files over there and got a clean compile. But I see what you mean about the client version. I only needed the server version. When I went to FTP that to the origional box it asked me if I wanted to replace the file that was there. I had not noticed it built the server version because I thought the whole make had erored out.

Thanks, I just ran the util and it is working like always. Now to just implement MS65!!
