WMQI (Websphere MQSeries Integrator) is the designation for the Integrator product at v2.1.
WBIMB (Websphere Business Integration Message Broker) is the acronym for the v5.x release of the same Integrator product
WBI (Websphere Business Integration is the software platform that consists of not only WBIMB, but also MQSeries, Workflow, MQ Everyplace, etc...
From time to time you may also hear the term MQSI (MQSeries Integrator), which refers to the Integrator product at v2.0
As you can see, the Integrator product has gone through a few naming changes, but it is essentially the same product, with new features and tooling. |

What is "WebSphere"?
What is the difference between WebSphere Application Server and "WebSphere"?
It is the same difference.
Except, people seem to be using "WBI" to mean "Interchange Server and it's Adapter/Connectors". _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
