Anyone have the MQSC Command reference that covers MQSeries 5.2 on the Open Systems? I can only find MQSeries 5.3 and MQSeries 5.1 online in the IBM archives.
Thanks in advance _________________ -WannaBe- |

I have a Hard Copy.... Want me to fax it to you?
Not much changed from 5.2 to 5.3 except in 5.3 they added the "dis qstatus(MQQUEUE.NAME)" command and a few other minor details.
I am sure that having said that one of the Grand Masters is going to prove me wrong. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |

csmith,
Does it actually say that it covers MQ5.2 on the AIX, SUN, etc. OS on the first couple of pages?
As for the fax, I am actually looking for an electronic copy.
Thanks _________________ -WannaBe- |

The hard copy of my Command Reference for 5.2 is at the office and I haven't been there in about two weeks.
I am fairly certain it says 5.2....
Mostly because I remember that, when I took the WMQ 5.3 System Administration class at IBM/MUX here at the Chinese Cultural Center in Phoenix, all the literature we were given was for 5.2 because, the instructor said the 5.3 versions weren't out yet. I suspected that IBM was just trying to use up all the leftovers.
Oh and, you can call me Chris. _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |

Chris,
The reason I ask, is that the 5.2 manulas we have that came with CDs from IBM, I open up the MQSC Command reference and it actually states that it is for the Open Systems MQSeries 5.1 and OS390 MQSeries 5.2. I don't remember any major changes from Open SYstems 5.1 to 5.2, so maybe it is the manual I need.
You can call me Jack. _________________ -WannaBe- |

The manuals were not changed from 5.1 to 5.2. A small manual caled 'Release Guide v5.2 was the only addition.
New manuals were not released until 5.3. |

Chris,
Man are you trying to set a record, you are all over the place!
It is as I suspected because the 5.1 manual shipped with my 5.2 IBM CD.
The fact that 5.2 shipped with 5.1 manuals leads me to believe 5.2 manuals for MQSC did not exist. the only 5.2 coverage in the manuals shipped with 5.2 was OS390. _________________ -WannaBe- |
