Hi,
I had been working all this while on DB2, but now I have to use an Oracle database for a simple SELECT statement in a msg flow.

I have it installed on a remote machine and i have a Oracle client on my system. I made the datasources in both with same names,when i do test connection it works.....

(SELECT VEHICLES.* FROM Database.tiger.VEHICLES WHERE VEHICLES.REGISTRATION_NUMBER = InputBody.VehicleInfoResponse.Vehicle.RegistrationNumber AND VEHICLES.REGISTRATION_TYPE = InputBody.VehicleInfoResponse.Vehicle.RegistrationType AND VEHICLES.STATUS = 'Y');

This is my select statement, I get an error in the Event Viewer as,

Database error: SQL State '08001'; Native Error Code '0'; Error Text '[DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver]Cli'.

The error has the following diagnostic information: SQL State '08001' SQL Native Error Code '0' SQL Error Text '[DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver]Cli'

Can someone help.....

Do i have to give any additional ESQL statements to connect to a Oracle Data source ????

I cant seem to find the option to enter the data source name with its user and password.......
Can i enter this in the ESQL (compute node) ?????

I am currently getting the error: login user and password wrong.....
I have created the data source using MERANT 3.10.....

Are there atleast any pdf's which talk about this clearly ????
