hi all ,,
actually i cant stand what im in now , i feel bored of my life her in bahrain , im a bahrain boy 20 years old , from kingdom of bahrain
i got a scolership of the ministry of education of bahrain to study in england 2001/2002 but then i had some personal problems lead me to back to Bahrain , then i lost the scolership . now im looking for any way can take me to the uk , i want to work there anywhere with any any any job .
when i was a student in the university of teesside , i got a job some one has a resturant asked me to work as a part-time emplee by 600 pounds .. and thats enough for me i think ..
now im asking , if i want to work there , what should i do ? whats the procedures i should go through ? should i get a work premit ? and from where i can get that ? can i go to the uk by turist visa and then try to find a job or i must get the job before i get there ?

actually kevinf now the problem is dificulty of getting the work premit , nowaday i heard that is the setuation has been changed , there are many jobs right there in all over the uk ,but the question is how to get that work premit , you have to collect points, i guess 65 points or something like that ? so what i shoud do
all my friends are there and im lonely here in bahrain .
i think i will go there , after i will start to look at a job , and when they emplyed me , i will ask for a work premit that time i will be stronger because i found a job already , and it would be easier , am i right Mr Kevin ?
is it a good idea and i could work ? or no ?

Frankly it is illegal to mislead Immigration of any country and could get you into a whole lot of trouble these days. Given the origin of the request I would also suspect that the British immigration service would not look kindly on that approach.
Usually entry into a country for employment is based around 'in demand' skills and education etc. If your skills are in MQ then I wouldn't imagine that would be much of a show stopper, but if you are truly wanting entry to wait on tables you may struggle.
The best approach may be to contact the local British Embassy and ask them what your chances are.
Rules are different if you are from an EC country, but from the Middle East I dare bet things are pretty tight these days...even to visit the EC. |

yeah you right brother .. what u said is right
but when i was there in the uk .. there was a man ask me to work in his shop ... and he was know that i need a work premit ..
i think when u get there by any visa even turist visa .. and then find a job , it would be easy to get that premit ..
and thats what am going to do .. ?? |

Are you looking for approval? If you think that you can go to England on a tourist visa, find a job then contact UK Immigration, then do it! However, speaking as a dual national (USA and EU) and this is only my opinion, I believe that your plan of action is illegal. Why don’t you contact the nearest UK Embassy and find out the proper procedures regarding foreign nations employment opportunities in the UK? |

thanks u very much ...
lisa ... i will try to go by the tourist visa , and when i get the job i'll contact the UK Immigration, your right i've got to contat the british empassy here in bahrain before .. to be legal , but when i ask them about the work premit they will ask to collect points i guess 65 points and i dont think that i will get them all .. may i reach it ,, but it easier to me go there and find the job and then the company i will work in will contact the UK Immigration for the work premit .. |

Just out of interest what makes you think that once you are there they will use anything other than the 'points system' and grant you a work permit rather than just deport you? What you are proposing to do is legal, visitors visas are issued under the condition that you have no intention of working or setting up a home in a country. Both yourself and your employer could find yourself in a lot of trouble if you persue this approach.
Contact the British Embassy, find out your options..LEGALLY. If you aren't qualified, get qualified. |

600 pounds / day for restaurant work sounds great. It's almost as lucrative as MQ.
If you can get here, you can work without too many restrictions and the jobs will pay cash.

600 pounds a day for restaurant work is utterly unbelievable. completely absurd, unless it's a cover for drug-dealing or something else. You might get that (but I would find it hard to believe) in some 5-star hotel in London as a waiter, but in a Middlesborough "caff"? You'll be lucky to get that a month.
Restaurant work is notorious for employing what's called "off-the-cards" (i.e. illegals) and paying them sh*t money with no rights or benefits. Here's more cannon-fodder coming over now. Because of the large amount of casual labour, and large parts of earnings for catering staff being in the form of cash tips, it's possible for the unscrutable employer to pay low wages that are tax and social-security free. Which is fine until the restaurant gets raided and the employee gets deported. Meanwhile, the employer now has a DUTY under UK law to ensure that the employeee is "legal" - is a EU citizen or has a work permit.
Get qualified, got your 65 points and try again. Otherwise, you'll live a life always waiting for a tap on the shoulder, and then you're back on the plane and on a permanent black-list. The UK is probably one the last places in the world not to require ID cards, but this is probably changing soon. |
