I have been trying to send an XML message from the input to a message flow and get only a string as the output (no field name,only data)

i.e

Input = <Address><TelNo>36363</TelNo></Address>

How to get the output as = 36363

What domain,wire format will I have to set ????

Hi,

You really need to work thru a Redbook sample or read the help samples to get an idea of how transformation of messages work in general. Anyway, it seems you need to setup a MessageSet with TDS layer in this instance for the outgoing message.

Please work thru some sample though. It will clear a lot of things up for you.

I'm not going to disagree that elvis_gn could use some time reading the manuals.

I know I could use some more time reading the manuals!

But he can get what he wants by using the BLOB domain, which doesn't require a message set.

Code:
Set OutputRoot.BLOB.BLOB = CAST(InputBody.Address.TelNo as BLOB CCSID InputRoot.Properties.CodedCharSetId);
