I am testing SSL and have a question on a client to server setup.

MQ version 5.3

I have installed and tested SSL from my client WIN2000 to AS/400 server

everthing works

I now want to roll this out to other clients.

I have done the following

1. sent my AMQCLCHL.TAB file to second client (WINXP) mq client 5.3
2. Sent the key.sto to the client from my PC (WINXP) mq client 5.3

set the environment variables on the second pc

did a amqsputc and it worked

Now I did not export and import the certificate on the second PC

My question is SHOULD THIS WORK ??? as it appears that it does......

No but you sent the keystore that contains the certificates....

HI

So does this mean that you do not have to import the cert into IE on the WIN2000 box ?

I just need to do an

amqmcert -a -p c:\slayer\mq\cert.cer -z xxxxxxxx

and make sure the cert is in the key.sto
