I just tried the program, and it worked fine for me. I'm running MQSeries 5.2 on a Windows box. I know that MQSeries 5.1 is out of support. There maybe something that was fixed between 5.1 and 5.2 that is why it works for me and fails for you. I'd suggest upgrading and posting what happens.

Hi,
I tried the program with MQ Series 5.2 on Sun Solaris. It doesn't seem to work.
I am getting the same error.
Does the program work with SYSTEM.DEFAULT.LOCAL.QUEUE and on Sun Solaris.
Or this program is for MQ Series 5.2 on Windows only.
Please let me know.
Thanks

All MQ programs as MQ itself, is not platform dependent. And Definitely NOT if it is supplied as a sample by IBM. I am not quite sure what's wrong with your environment or solaris. But i would expect it to work there. Since this is very basic. And moreover it works fine on NT/2000, which are taken as basis to check for correctness of any such programs, often.
Cheers.
Kumar

The program should work on Solaris as well as Windows. I'm on the road this week. I'll try the program on AIX and Solaris when I get back to the office. |
