Hello,
I am attempting to set up an SSL connection between a Windows 2000 Server running the MQSeries Client v5.3.0.8 and a Sun Solaris Server running MQSeries v5.3.0.8. When I execute the IBM sample Client program amqsgetc on the Windows 2000 server it ends with MQRC=2393 and message AMQ9690 (The public key in the issuer's certificate has failed to validate the subject certificate.) is posted to AMQERR01.LOG. I am supposing that I have a problem with one of the certificates, but am not sure what it is.
Can someone that has seen this problem please give me a clue as to what this issue might be?
You can, but not with MQSERVER. The only way of getting amqsputc/amqsgetc to use SSL is to configure a client channel table which contains a clntconn with a cipherspec. You then need MQSSLKEYR, MNQCHLLIB and MQCHLTAB set appropriately.
