I am getting this problem -

I have only message broker toolkit installed on my XP m/c .Broker on SOLARIS m/c and CONFIGMGR on XP. Able to connect to BROKER sucessfully.

When trying to save the new value for promoted property , the values are not getting saved. ie after saving the bar file with new input values and reopening the bar file again the configured values are lost.

I tried using all possible steps to my knowledge but the problem still persists . Lastly I tried reinstalling the Message Broker toolkit , but no hope.

Did any one came across such problem.

Thanks in advance.

Are you sure that the cmf file is actually being updated. Look at the Modified Date/Time before and after to be certain.

Cheers,

Is this the first time you are trying to promote the values? What is your CSD level?

Hey Subodh,
I have faced a similar problem a while ago and had opened a PMR with IBM. Still waiting on a response. For a while i thought i was the only one who saw this problem with the MB5.0

Which is why the settings are not being saved.

Now, you need to find out why. Try ReBuilding the Project to make sure there are no errors in it.

Cheers,

I tried importing existing msg flow into the new msg projects , creating new bar files & configuring the promoted properties but after saving and reopening the bar files , all settings are lost.

When I do the same thing on another desktop where toolkit is installed from the same media, it works fine.

This is what puzzling me.
