I am pretty new to MQ, i have a HP-UX which has MQ5.3 CSD07 installed. My question is we have generated some XML messages in the box and we want to put them in a remote queue to send to other system as MQ testing. I know we can do it manually using amqsput, there we can type a message, but not we can attach anything to it. How do you do it???? how can you put a message into the queue just for testing ???

not 100% certain if HP will let you as i have never really played with that platform BUT if you have MQ explorer in your network or on the machine access the HPUX then you should be able to show that q manager in the gui and therefore put a message there using the put message utility against the q

another option is the RFHUtil facility whcih can read from a file and write it to the q itself

you would probably have to use the RFHUtilC version which you connect to the q manager by using the SVRCONN in mq and then write the message to the appropriate q

Hi,

You might also be interested in trying out MQ Visual Edit. It can run on all platform that supports Java v1.3 or higher. i.e. it can run on the HP-UX box or your Windows PC.

For more information or to download a 30-trial of MQ Visual Edit, go to,
