I have a fairly large XSD file (TXLife, industry standard for Insurance companies) that I am trying to use to create a Message Definition File. When I try to create the MDF it gives me and error "Error Validating resource <name of file>. An error occured while building resource." That is all I get. There is an red X next to the message definition file in my resource navigator but there is no red Xs in any of the subfolders Messages, Types, Groups or Elements and Attributes. When I try to rebuild the MXSD I get the error:
"An internal error has occured. To resolve the problem do a full rebuild and if the problem persist contact your IBM support person."
Are you using any unsupported W3 standards in your XSD. For example the use of abstract. The WBIMB help states a list of these.
Otherwise I would raise it with IBM support and in parellel start commenting out messages within your XSD until you can find the actual part in the XSD that is going wrong. You could maybe try to break the XSD down into multiple XSDs if possible. This may make it easier to determine. But sounds like a support issue to me.
Also I've just assumed you're using V5. could you confirm.
