You can set the default value for promoted property within your message flow. If you don't override it's value when doing a deploy, it will use the default value set in your message flow. _________________ Kiran

Thanks Kiran for your reply.
Let me explain the flows that I have.
There is a subflow which has the following nodes:
Input --> a plugin node
The plugin node was written in java and has a number of properties, one of them is mandatory, and is called 'customer'. I promoted all properties by right-click the plugin node, and select promote property, when I saved the sub-flow, I see the following error message in the Tasks window:
"Promoted mandatory property "customer" does not have a default value assigned". I then removed customer from the promoted properties, and I didn't get any errors. Then by double-clicking on the plugin node in the subflow I specified a value for customer property, and then I promoted it, I then saved the sub-flow, but I still get the same error. I then added the subflow to a flow, and then within that flow I double-clicked on the subflow, and started filling all the fields (promoted properties) I saved the flow, but I still see the same error, so I thought lets deploy it, by using bar file, but adding the flow to the bar file failed with the following erro: "Failed to add file <message flow name> to archive file"
Thanks in advance |

In that case you can assign default value to your mandatory property of your java plug-in node. Just goto .msgnode file and you see an option to set default value. _________________ Kiran
