Hello,
Is it recommended to use the cluster sender channel as a means of sending requests/replies? I ask this as it was brought up on this project to do that as opposed to using the regular srvconn channels, to decrease the number of channels. Please let me know if you are aware of this usage...

Cluster Sender Channels are used for MQSeries cluster services.
You should use the Sender/Receivers for your request replies. _________________ Jeff

I don't understand the question.
Request Replys going to clustered queues between QMs use cluster channels.
Request Replys going to non clustered queues between QMs use other channel types.
MQ Clients use SVRCONN channels.
QM to QM communications do not use SVRCONN channels. _________________ Peter Potkay

A manually defined CLUSSNDR is used to communicate initial info to a Full Repository. From that point forward, cluster info is sent over an Automatic CLUSSNDR channel that MQ defines on the fly. The only time that the manual CLUSSNDR channel you defined is ever uses is if you issue REFRESH CLUSTER with the REPOS(YES) option.
Any other messaging, be they datagrams, requests, replies, reports, cluster updates, all flow over the Automatically defined CLUSSNDRs, if the destination queue is clustered or a SYSTEM.CLUSTER.COMMAND.QUEUE. _________________ Peter Potkay
