What is meant by Channel Unknown State in MQ Series, One of our client has configured T&G monitoring on MQ.

Most of the time it generate alerts on Channel Unknown state, but when we look into the system The channels are running fine.

Pls let me known when the Channel goes to Unknown state (Reason behind the same).

What is generating the text "Channel Unknown state"? Is it T&G?

Look at your AMQERR0*.LOG's and see what kind of channel events are recorded there.

My guess is that the "Channel Unknown state" alert is being generated when the Monitored channel has gone into an "inactive" state under normal circumstances.

Code:

For example, Channel 'CHANNEL.NAME' closed because no messages arrived on the transmission queue within the disconnect interval period.
