the server resides on a Win2000 server (MQ 5.3 CSD07). We have all of the clients in house connected as they should be. What I need to find out is how would users outside of the company connect using MQ Client 5.3 if it were installed on their desktops. Most of the users will be using XP Sp2. Granted, IM sure we are going to have to open ports and such, but is it just a matter of installing the client and having the users make those changes as needed?

You may have to add all the users in the foreign domain to a specific group you setup on the qmgr machine and grant the authorizations to that group.

Enjoy

Sorry I didn't get back with you earlier. saper is right. See the WebSphereMQSeries Administration Guide. To be more specific, study up on the setmqaut, dspmqaut commands.

Hey Wizard,
Searching through the posts I have found yours describing intentions to roll out the WebSphere MQ Client on WinXP SP2. I was wondering if you have experienced any problems with the client on WinXP with SP2 ???
