XML file to a queue

i want to put an xml file on to a queue. going to the location where the file resides i issued the command
amqsput queue_name < abc.xml

but it gives me the following message
sample amqsput0 start
target queue is queue_name
MQOPEN ended with reason code 2085
unable to open the queue for output
sample amqsput0 ended

please let me know the mistake i am making.

do u have multiple queue managers on this box?
check the default queue manager for the queue name mentioned in amqsput if not specify the name of the queue manager that contains this queue.

Also, please note that amqsput sample program has a very small buffer. So if your XML file is large (> 99 bytes, I think) then you will see truncated message on the queue. You might want to change the sample program to meet your requirement.
