Why is being Bangalored so bad compared to jobs going offshore to Germany or Toronto or Scandinavia? |

Jobs move around the world of course, but when they appear to being given to untrained and inexperienced (in MQ/MQSI terms) people it does cause even more resentment from those potentially losing their livelihood.

Golly Gosh !!!
Goodness, Gracious Me !!!
This Outsourcing business is becoming a pain in the ass and a cause for concern.
But I work in Germany - I don't see too many MQ jobs around here
these days unless they have about a further dozen unrealistics skills
attached !!!
I think I'll Outsource meself to Bangalore !!! |

The answer to that lies in why those asking basic, untrained, questions here seem to be mainly from India.
I think this forum is for both experienced and unexperienced folks.. It is wrong to categorize folks from a particular country ( India ) as inexperienced novices just because they seem to ask basic questions. If you start categorizing ppl then I am very sorry to say that the whole purpose of this excellent forum is defeated.... |

He didn't say people from India are inexperienced novices. He said the inexperienced novices (from an MQ/MQSi perspective) posting here seem to be mainly from India. I hope you understand the distinction. And there is nothing wrong with stating the obvious, even though it is not 100% politically correct to categorize. _________________ Peter Potkay

I am just surprised as to where this discussion has gone. the whole Topic started with an opurtunity arising in Bangalore..again Bangalore..AND the opurtunity came from bangalore because the client is based Bangalore.
So how is this outsourcing a job to India!!!!!
I would look at it as an outsourcing of a project from India.
Most of us are consultants. We have to travel. So if anybody feels confident enough about his skillsets for this position can apply for this opurtunity because i didnt see it mention that they where looking for Indians..
I would look at it as a good opurtunity comming up and go there and broaden my horizons..India is not bad a place to live in after all..
Anyways thats just my perspective of looking at it..
