I installed the MQ Series as part of the add on to WSAD 5.1 from the IBM Downloads section there was no /tools/c/samples/bin folders that got created.Any help wil be greatly appreciated.

What did you exactly install
MQSeries Client
MQSeries Server
or Embedded Messaging ? I am not sure what you installed.

With the Embedded Messaging that is part of WAS you have a very limited version of Websphere MQ. This limited version cannot connect outside of WAS. Of course no samples and other stuff (user exits etc...)

You can use it though from within WAS. Check the using Java documentation for JMS (samples) and your WAS documentation...
