Hi everyone!
We are using v2.1, and when we first starting using subflows just over a year ago, we found that delta deploys didn't pick up changes in subflows, so we have always got around this by always doing a complete deploy. This has always worked ok.
We now have a problem because a fairly large flow that we have doesn't seem to pick up changes to subflows whatever we try. We have even deleted the execution group and recreated it with a different name, but still our recent changes aren't picked up.
I've read various threads on this site that skirt around the issue, such as how do you know whan a deploy has deployed, but none of them seem to have a definitive answer, or a problem that exactly matches mine.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix the problem? Could it be that there is a parameter somewhere which my flow now exceeds, so it doesn't deploy the whole flow? Wouldn't that be nice!
Or do you think it is worth me raising the matter with IBM?
Any thoughts appreciated, |

what version of CSD are you using? Are you doing delta/complete deploy of an EG of the complete broker? When you export your message flow using control center what is the size of your xml file? _________________ Kiran

Blobtastic, the delta deploy mechanism should detect if a subflow has changed, assuming you have checked the change back into the config mgr. If this is not working raise a PMR. |

Thank you both.
Kiran,
I have exported the main flow, and the file size is 420KB, which doesn't sound very big to me! That said, the problems do appear to have developed as the flows have got bigger. We are running CSD06, with the broker on an AIX box, and the configmgr in a 1GB win2k server.
Steve,
I shall raise a PMR this morning and let you know what response I get. I really need to get this resolved, as its very frustrating trying to verify if a deploy has actually worked, which doesn't appear to be indicated by the log comments.
Many thanks |

Hi Blobtastic,
We have also recently encountered this issue (broker on AIX 5.1, WMQI 2.1 CSD06, ConfigMgr on 512Mb Win2K server with Service Pack 3).
Like you, a PMR has been raised with IBM....
Regards,
Nick. |
