Lisa,

I don't believe there's a command that will provide the current CSD level for MQSI (much like MQVER for MQ). However, I do know the current CSD level is identified in the memo.ptf file.

On UNIX platforms you can use commands like lslpp (AIX) or pkginfo (Solaris) or swlist (HP-UX) or rpm (Linux) to get the CSD level

Enter whereis command and it will give you the location
of swlist.

Only if it's in the PATH. Which it isn't because:

swlist: not found

Here's an example from my UNIX server using id xxx. It may not be in my path, but if its in the system path, you should be able to find it
Is this not correct?

$ pwd
/var/adm/syslog
$ swlist
ksh: swlist: not found
$ whereis swlist
swlist: /usr/sbin/swlist /usr/local/bin/swlist.out /usr/share/man/man1m.Z/swlist
.1m
$

I think Eddie is talking about which
whereis works a little different but find is better than these.

I've just updated my CSD to CSD04 and want to ensure it went on ok (both message and event csds)

as you can see from the list above there's different version numbers for different things. Which package should I actually be looking at?

Thanks for your help.

Your installation looks ok. UNIX systems do the same thing since only some of the packages get updated on a CSD. So the answer is it depends on the CSD. Generally if see any updates you are ok (at least MQ isn't like DB2 which requires a decoder ring!)
