does anyone know which CSD is recommended to be installed after upgrading 5.2 to 5.3 on as400?
does anyone have any experience with this, any tips etc?

I also recommend that the latest CSD be applied during an upgrade. Why schedule two separate outages when you can schedule one slightly longer one? Especially if there's any risk that the second outage may be delayed or not approved or un-approved.
I also usually recommend that the upgrade be tested first AND THEN apply the CSD, just to be sure.

Really? Applying the CSD only takes a few minutes. Why test twice? The initial test may find things that don't work, and you will always say to yourself, "Maybe the CSD fixes it". Why not just put the latest fixes on right away, and then test the combo once.

Because if the upgrade is hosed up somehow, the CSD isn't necessarily going to fix it.
But I guess I didn't mean a full application test run between the upgrade and the CSD - just "make sure the queue manager starts" kind of tests.
