Hi All,
MQ5.2 in Solaris
I have configured the my Unix Queue Manager into my Windows MQ Explorer (MQ 5.2).
When I put a message into queue using the put message option (ie right click the local queue--> put message) in MQ explorer.
Put time displayed in MQ is not the same as the time at which the message has been put into.
Its not of Windows box nor of Unix Box where the QM is running.
(our box follow IST :Indian Standard Time:)
The put time of message in local queue is a GMT (If Iam not wrong).
1) I also want to convert the put time of the messages to system time of Unix ie IST
As other EAI tools allow me to convert even in system time thro the server configuration.
2) Our other EAI application also places it as CET (Central Eastern Timings), would like to is there any option to change the Put time of Message in The queue into CET instead of GMT.
i.e is there any Queue Manager configuration to change so that all messages are displayed in C.E.T
I cannot do it thro prog as the flow happens betweeen EAI tools without any prog concept, hence looking for the QM configuration.
Please help

Put time is GMT. Use the GNT columns, not the local time columns in the GUI because they display the wrong time (they convert the puttime from local time to gmt, whereas the conversion should be the other way around) - Its a known issue but not one planned on being fixed in 5.3, because although it sounds simple to fix, it requires an api not available in NT4, as I understand it! |

I guess it sound odd to update manuals with Bugs.
What you need is the defect number with the description. _________________ Kiran

Hi JasonE,
Thanks for response and the link.
Can you please let me know in future how do I search such number (ICR Number)
However, if I give time stamp or time in the ibm site, it gives thousands of results.
Can you please let me know how to get all such lists of bugs
Thanks

Hi JasonE,
Thanks for Reply.
Can't we put such links in MQSeries.net (MQ5.3) known bugs etc.,
So that most of the member will be aware of it.
Is there any procedure for the same ????
Thanks

I dont think there is any procedure currently in place, but we can try to create one. Please explain what types of links are you looking for? _________________ Kiran

Hi kirani,
Thanks for reply.
I was looking for known issues and bug for MQ5.3.
Jason has helped me to search such links, instead what I suggested is lets have link in MQSeries.net for known issues not resolved in 5.3
Please suggest

It's a good idea. But I see an issue here ..
We can start a new thread where moderator can add links to such bugs/known problems. But how would he know that the issue has been resolved in some CSD? _________________ Kiran

Hi,
We can give link to the latest CSD and tell the reader to find if the issues are resolved or not.
But this link will be usefull for all to know known bugs.
If reader wants to know about the fix, he shold search in CSD link.
Even if reader finds that fix has been done he can inform which CSD has the fix
Please comment.
